We partnered with the Fremont Family Resource Center to provide children, teens, and adults with a book lending kiosk filled with hundreds of books that they can borrow.
The Pop Up Library Services for Everyone (P.U.L.S.E.) program offers automated library services to communities at the places they visit. The Fremont Family Resource Center is a collaborative of more than 25 City, County, State, and non-profit agencies that provide a host of services to support families facing stressful or challenging situations. In addition to the book lending kiosk through P.U.L.S.E., we will also provide iPads loaded with early literacy and educational apps for children.
Any clients, visitors, or staff of the Fremont Family Resource Center can use the book lending kiosk with a P.U.L.S.E. card. The cards will be available at the Fremont Family Resource Center.
P.U.L.S.E. provides library services to populations affected by homelessness, violence, low literacy skills, joblessness, and poverty. This new P.U.L.S.E. site joins several existing sites located at two county jails, a multidisciplinary service center for families impacted by domestic violence, and at a shelter for homeless families.
