Join us in the Big Library Read

Our catalog, online resources, and library accounts may be unavailable on Friday, September 28th, between 2 a.m. - 6 a.m. while we work on a catalog upgrade.

Join us in the Big Library Read, an international reading program connecting millions of readers around the world simultaneously with an eBook or audiobook through the library.

This year’s Big Library Read is Flat Broke with Two Goats, a fearlessly written memoir that reminds readers to not take themselves too seriously and to always remember to laugh, no matter their situation.

To start reading, all you need is an Alameda County Library Card. The free program runs from April 2-16, 2018. You can read and listen to Flat Broke with Two Goats on all major computers and devices without worrying about wait lists or holds. The title automatically expires at the end of the lending period, and there are no late fees.

Big Library Read is made possible through a partnership between Alameda County Library, OverDrive and Sourcebooks, the publisher of Flat Broke with Two Goats
