June is GLBT Book Month

 

Alameda County Library is committed to serving every community and making the library a welcoming space that is open to all. This month, we are joining the American Library Association and hundreds of libraries nationwide in the celebration of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBT) Book Month. GLBT Book Month celebrates authors, books, and writings that reflect the lives and experiences of the GLBT community.

Join us for fun GLBT Book Month events! 

Queer Comics & Pride Celebration 

Celebrate diversity, inclusion, and social justice! Hear some of the freshest local voices in queer comics.

Featuring appearances from:

  • Knave Murdok
  • Comikake
  • PFLAG
  • The Oakland LGBTQ Community Center

*Comics will be available for sale by authors.
