New Hours at Centerville and Niles Libraries Effective July 1st and July 7th

Alameda County Library is pleased to announce some big and exciting changes at the Centerville and Niles Libraries that will help us better serve our communities.

  • Effective on July 1, 2017, the Centerville Library will be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in addition to its current schedule – Tuesdays 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursdays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Funding provided by the City of Fremont enables the Library to add hours of service on Saturdays. Thanks to the City of Fremont for their funding commitment to library services and to the Fremont Library Advisory Commission for their leadership and support.  
  • Effective on July 7, 2017, the Niles Library will be open on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The change will allow the Fremont Neighborhood Libraries (Centerville, Irvington, and Niles Libraries) to operate at full staffing for five consecutive days of the week.

Join the Centerville and Niles Libraries for the following events to celebrate these new changes.

What: A performance by magician Pete G. Magic. Bring the whole family out to be amazed at Pete’s entertaining show!  A prize drawing and refreshments will follow the performance.

When: Saturday, July 22, 2017, 2 - 4 p.m.

What: A performance by Magician and Balloon Artist Mr. Shap. During the magic show Mr. Shap will make amazing balloon creations that you can win through a prize drawing at the end of the performance.

When: Friday, July 7, 2017, 2 - 3 p.m.
