Thursday, June 22nd, beginning at 9:00 p.m., we will be upgrading our catalog system. The catalogs (Encore/Classic), My Accounts and some electronic resources (databases) will be unavailable for 4-6 hours.
Alameda County Library Bookmobile
Come visit the Alameda County Library Bookmobile, a vibrant, traveling library that houses materials and resources for all ages, including: fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, music CDs, DVDs, Large Type books, books on CD, and a staff that's always glad to help you find what you're looking for.
With your Alameda County Library card, items can be borrowed and returned just as you would at any of our brick-and-mortar libraries. The Bookmobile visits schools, daycares, senior housing facilities, apartments, neighborhoods, and community centers on a three-week rotation. The Bookmobile creates a community wherever it goes, and is a wonderful place to browse, meet neighbors, and expand horizons.

Visit our website at www.aclibrary.org. You can also call the office or speak with a librarian on the bookmobile.
The first time you place a hold to be picked up on the bookmobile, especially if you place the hold online, please tell the librarian or call the office, to let us know which stop you will be using. Once you have a designated stop, we will bring all of your requests to that location. Due to space limitations, we are only able to carry the holds for the stops we will be visiting on any given day.
The Bookmobile currently operates on a three-week rotation. All items (including DVD's) are checked out for three weeks in order to coincide with our visits. The Bookmobile follows Alameda County's fines and fees policy. Please keep track of your own due dates and, to avoid fines, return or renew your items before the due date.
There will be occasions when the bookmobile has to go out of service or a stop has to be changed. When this happens we do our best to notify patrons ahead of time, but this is not always possible. It is especially difficult to notify patrons of last-minute, unexpected changes, but we are sometimes able to make an attempt to reach you if you leave your contact information with one of the bookmobile librarians.
If we have to cancel a stop, we will not charge fines for the items that were due on that date.
