The Friends of the Castro Valley Library is a group of community minded people interested in supporting and enriching our public library.
Through fund raising and active volunteer participation, Friends supplement regular library services and materials.
The Friends of the Library work to encourage greater communication between the library and the community.

How Can I Help the Castro Valley Library?
- Join the Friends!
A membership application is available online for you to print and mail in.
- Make a Donation
Money you donate to the Friends is tax deductible and you can specify whether the money will be spent for books, equipment, programs, or for our future library fund.
- Donate Books
Books are added to the library collection when appropriate and are always welcome for the Friends' book sales.
- Sponsor a Magazine
You can donate the cost of a subscription.
- Become a Volunteer
You can do many jobs that assist the library.
- Be a Library Advocate
You can help make library budgets a priority by supporting legislation that provides for increases in library hours, materials and services.
