After Mr. Kirkland graduated with honors from Oregon State University and The University of Kansas, he taught at Oregon State University in the Department of Art. Mr. Kirkland has concentrated on public art and has installations all over the world. Located in Washington, D.C., Mr. Kirkland works part of the year with a studio in Carrara, Italy.
