Stitches

“Stitches” by T. Barny, Healdsburg. Steel tubing sculpture that depicts the stitches on a baseball. The sculpture is constructed from 376 two-inch steel tubes welded together using a cylindrical wooden form. Located at Central Park sports complex entrance, 1110 Stevenson Blvd. Owned by City of Fremont.

Mr. Barny studied at Stanford and Brown Universities and graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. Mr. Barny works with hot glass, neon gas, bronze, wood, water, steel, or stone and believes all materials have artistic promise in them. His resume states, “Abstraction is his fascination and power tools are his forte.”
