“Doughboy,” bust of a World War I soldier located high above E Street entrance to Washington Township Veterans Memorial Building in Niles District, Second and E Streets. Donated by Shinn family when building was constructed in 1930. Picture furnished by Mary Kaufmann, Fremont.
Building Manager Winston Turner said ,“A young man comes by every day and salutes “Doughboy.”
