Large acrobatic figures by Aristides Demetrios throughout Pacific Commons Shopping Center, Auto Mall Parkway at Christy Street. Aristides Demetrios, who works in bronze and stainless steel, is a well-known California sculptor and many of his creations are found in the Bay Area. Privately owned.

Born in 1931 in Massachusetts, Mr. Demetrios was raised there, and graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in History and Literature. After serving three years as an officer in the Navy, Mr. Demetrios studied at his father’s school, the George Demetrios School, for another three years. George Demetrios, Aristides’, father, studied with Mr. Bourdelle, a student of Auguste Rodin.
