Homework Help

Many Alameda County Library branches provide Homework Centers where volunteers help students with homework during after-school hours. The Castro Valley, Dublin, Newark, San Lorenzo and Union City libraries have Homework Centers.

Generally, the Centers are open from 3:30 to 5:30 Monday through Thursday. The hours vary slightly by branch. Math is the most frequently requested subject. Most of the students seeking help are in elementary and middle school, although in most locations help is also available for high school students. For further information, contact your local branch library.
