The Dublin Library is pleased to announce new, expanded hours of service on Thursdays to meet the growing needs of Dublin’s community. Beginning on September 1, 2016, the Library will add Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., to its operating schedule. Funding provided by the City of Dublin enables the Library to remain open for two additional hours.
Mayor David Haubert said, "Libraries are a priority in our community and the Council is pleased to be able to expand the hours and programs in Dublin."
“We are thrilled that we can extend hours. Providing library service in the evening benefits children, families, working parents, working adults, and students of all ages,” said Lee Jouthas, Branch Manager.
The Dublin Library, a branch of the system Alameda County Library, is open more hours than any other branch. With new expanded service on Thursdays, it will be the only branch that is open four nights a week. The Library will be exploring new programs to offer during those hours.
